E-mail Killed the Fax Machine
The days of continuously checking the mail anticipating a letter are long gone. And waiting by your fax machine for a document to come through is a thing of the past! Electronic mail, or E-mail, has drastically changed the way people transfer information both professionally and casually. E-mail allows users to receive messages and documents almost instantly after being sent. With just a few clicks, you can upload various file types onto your e-mail (PDFs, photos, audio files, etc) and after a few minutes, the recipient can view, save, and print the file right from home. It is no surprise that the promptness of transmission and the ability to send large files has made e-mail one of the most used methods of sharing information today.
E-mail has positively impacted how many people communicate: college students use e-mail to chat with their professors about assignments or grades, businesses use e-mail to schedule meetings or discuss ideas within the company, or with outside companies, families use e-mail to stay in touch with members who are away from home, you can send e-cards or type love letters. It also allows shoppers to receive special deals from their favorite stores! E-mail has the ability to make life a little easier for virtually anyone who uses it!
